Description

Would you like the opportunity to be our next Engineering Tech? As an Engineering Tech at Robinson, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and participate activities in the Lead Service Line Replacement to deliver exceptional engineering services to our clients. You will have the opportunity to make an impact in communities such as Grayslake, Dolton, Richton Park, Palatine and Waukegan.

Your New Opportunity

  • Communicating and coordinating with residents at homes, in public forums and/or on the phone regarding lead service line replacement projects (https://www.gettheleadoutil.com)
  • Inspecting service lines of homes including in crawl spaces and basements
  • Locating b boxes and water services in communities
  • Observing construction for water service line replacement projects
  • Assist with site visits and field investigations for house to house surveys
  • Tabulate data collected for use in engineering design projects
  • Interact with local and remote clients, internal company staff, permitting agencies, and other consulting firms


Your Background and Credentials

  • An associate’s degree in Engineering Technology preferred or a minimum of 2-years experience working in the field of public works or the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, iOS smartphones and experience working in ArcGIS a plus
  • Ability to read sewer and roadway maps, use iOS & iPads and familiarity with GIS a plus
  • Must possess a strong work ethic with excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective time management
  • Coding with Python or R is a plus
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
