We have an exciting opportunity for a New Gradate Engineer to work out of one of our offices in the Chicagoland area. The essential responsibilities of this position include:
- Performing design calculations for transportation, sewer, and water infrastructure
- Preparing design specifications
- Preparing quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates
- Facilitating permits with regulatory agencies
- Performing site visits and construction observation
- Reviewing engineering plans for conformance with local ordinances
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Successful completion of FE exam is expected within one year of employment
- Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel, is required
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or ArcGIS is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
